BUP MediaComm Summit 2.0 is a national-level celebration of news, media, and communication, hosted at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in Dhaka. The event's theme is “Communicating Tomorrow: The Future of Media & Journalism.” It brings together aspiring journalists, storytellers, media enthusiasts, and problem-solvers from across Bangladesh. Participants can join in two competitions and a seminar. News Olympiad: - Solo competition - Undergraduate students only - Mini book consisting of the syllabus will be provided - Single round, on-campus - Date: September 27, 2026 - Put current affairs, news sense, and media knowledge to the ultimate test. News Report Competition: - Team-based competition - Up to 3 people per team, undergraduates only - Cross-university teams allowed - Round 1 online, Round 2 on-campus - Dates: Round 1 - September 22-26, Round 2 - September 27, 2026 - Find the angle, build the narrative, report what matters. Seminar: - A conversation on where the media is headed, how stories shape our world, and what the future holds for journalism and communication - Date: September 28, followed by results of both segments and closing - Speakers and further details are to be announced. The event challenges participants to read the news, report it, and rethink it — whether they are future journalists, news junkies, storytellers, analytical thinkers, or simply people who refuse to take the world at face value.
