Breakfast Club Dhaka and Cirkle present Bhoot Choturdoshi (ভূত চতুর্দশী), a Bengali folk-horror picnic held on the morning of 31 October at Jatra Biroti in Dhaka. The event brings back the ghosts of grandmothers' stories—the ones from load-shedding nights and ঠাকুরমার ঝুলি—who return in broad daylight. Eight spirits will be loose on the grounds, each carrying a seal. Every guest receives a Ghost Book at the gate; find all eight spirits, fill the book, and leave with a keepsake. The book goes home with you either way. The event features fourteen earthen প্রদীপ (oil lamps) burning at noon under white cloth, a market that runs on haggling, brides who sit a little too still, fortunes written on palm leaves, and a voice that might call your name across the courtyard. House rule: don't answer. Music will be provided by DJs JAXXD, Shena, Raquef B2B Mehrin, and a Surprise Act. Early bird tickets are available: BDT 2,500 for entry plus drinks, and BDT 3,000 for entry plus drinks plus breakfast. Details: Saturday 31 October, 10AM to 2PM at Jatra Biroti. Doors open 10AM sharp. The event is family friendly—gentle enough for a seven-year-old, strange enough for adults. Dress code: come as a spirit from your নানি-দাদির গল্প (grandmother's tales).
