The Listening Room is an intimate poetry gathering curated by Purple Poetry Dhaka, created for those who believe poetry deserves attentive listening. WHAT TO EXPECT - Duration: 3 hours (including arrival, seating, and post-event mingling) - 2 hours of uninterrupted poetry reading - Intimate floor seating in a serene meditation studio - A judgment-free, safe space for vulnerability and storytelling This is a curated experience designed for poets who want to share their authentic voice and listeners who value depth over hype. Whether you write in Bangla, English, or any language — if your words are honest, they belong here. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - No photography or video recording during performances - No live broadcasting DATE, TIME & LOCATION: - Date: Saturday, 13 June 2026 - Time: 4:30 PM - 8:00 PM (Gates open at 4:00 PM) - Venue: KOA Studio 11 - Address: M & S House by InnStar Plot 2, 7th Floor (Lift 7), Road 11, Block H, Banani, Dhaka 1213, Bangladesh In this quiet and carefully held space, poets will share their work before a small audience who gather not merely to attend, but to listen. The evening invites poems, personal stories, reflections, and moments of silence in between. Unlike conventional open-mic events, The Listening Room encourages presence, respect, and deep listening. Each voice is given space, and each listener becomes part of the experience. Seats are intentionally limited to maintain an atmosphere of calm, intimacy, and meaningful connection. We welcome poets and listeners who wish to spend an evening with poetry in its most attentive form. This is a space for authentic voices. Poets are required to share their own original poetry, stories, or narratives. Reciting another poet's published work is not permitted.
