STRICTLY BREAKFAST CLUB

A morning of music and dining, perched above the city

About the Event

A morning of music and dining at EPI, one of Dhaka's premier modern American bistros, perched above the city in Gulshan.

Music & Food, Both, at their

highest expression.

A 5-course fixed menu by EPI's kitchen, curated specifically for the morning. Two artists across the room. One rhythm. The afternoon is intentionally left open — guests leave with the day still ahead of them.

This is BFC's most considered morning yet. A return to the format that started it all — daytime, intentional, music-first — in a setting that has never hosted it before.

🗓️ Saturday, 16 May 2026 🕙 10 AM – 1 PM 📍 EPI, Gulshan

The Lineup

🇧🇩 RCBD

Ali Arsalan has been shaping how this city listens to music for over fifteen years.

It started with mixtapes birthday playlists for friends in the late nineties. In 2007, after returning to Dhaka with a degree in construction management, he was asked to DJ at Le Saigon. With a laptop, an iPod, and a basic mixer, he stepped behind the decks for the first time.

The turning point came in 2010, on a spontaneous trip to Sónar Festival in Barcelona. Watching the Brazilian producer Amon Tobin perform inside a 3D cube was, in his own words, life-changing. He came home with a mission to bring this music to Dhaka.

He reached out to artists he admired on SoundCloud. Phonique, Berlin-based and one of Europe's most renowned house DJs, was the first to respond. That moment marked the beginning of a fifteen-year run of curating Dhaka's most discerning electronic music nights.

A library of over 10,000 house tracks. Twelve to fourteen hours of music in a pen drive. No rigid playlists — every set improvised, read live from the room.

For the first time, he plays at his own restaurant. A full-circle moment.

🇮🇳 Parallel VoicesBangladesh debut

His journey began with Anjunadeep Explorations 25 in 2023 a milestone debut on one of electronic music's most discerning labels. Since then, his releases have been impossible to ignore. His No Reason EP held Beatport's Top 10 Electronica for over a month. Your Love earned a remix by James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, the architects of the Anjunadeep sound itself.

His catalogue has now crossed 10 million streams. His sets carry DJ support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nora En Pure, Lane 8, and Marsh. His tracks have been picked up by radio shows across New Zealand, the USA, Australia, Belgium, Japan, and Mexico.

In 2026 alone: ADE Amsterdam. Omeara London. Anjunadeep Open Air across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Dubai. DGTL Bengaluru. And, for the first time, Dhaka.
